Our Services

Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA)

Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) measures hearing thresholds through patient responses to pure tones, determining the degree, type, and configuration of hearing loss. Special tests include SISI (Short Increment Sensitivity Index) and TDT (Tone Decay).

Speech Audiometry

Speech audiometry uses speech signals to assess processing ability and diagnose disorders in the auditory system, quantifying a patient’s understanding of everyday communication through SRT (Speech Reception Threshold) and SDS (Speech Discrimination Score).

Free field audiometry

Free field audiometry is a behavioral test conducted in a sound-treated room using calibrated loudspeakers. It assesses hearing sensitivity at various frequencies, often with children, and is also used for hearing aid testing.

Tympanometry and Reflexometry

Tympanometry assesses the middle ear's condition and eardrum mobility by varying air pressure in the ear canal. It aids in diagnosing middle ear disease and evaluates acoustic reflexes, crucial for identifying otologic issues and testing children's hearing.

OAE test (Otoacoustic emission)

The OAE test detects cochlear echoes using a small earpiece in a baby's ear. Quick results determine further screening needs. Referral for additional testing doesn't always indicate hearing loss.

Brainstem Evoked Response Auditory (BERA)

BERA is an objective test measuring brainstem response to sound, offering insights into hearing sensitivity and neuro-diagnostic purposes. Clicks or tones are presented to the patient while electrodes detect brainstem responses painlessly.

Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR)

Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR) is cutting-edge technology for assessing infant hearing, possible as early as 7 days old. Automated audiograms, generated by specialized software, provide precise results.

Frequently asked questions

This takes a considerable amount of time, if you take into the fact that you have to adjust to the new sounds in your environment. The physical aspect of wearing a hearing aid, however will take much less time.
In the initial stages, it is always advisable to wear the hearing aid at home, for a few hours in the beginning. Then you could move on to wearing them for longer periods like when taking a walk outdoors. Once you get more accustomed to this, you would be comfortable wearing them in more challenging situations like get-togethers, movies etc.
First check if the batteries are properly fitted. Check if the battery has run flat. If so, replace the battery. If the battery is not the cause of the problem, then check the instrument’s sound outlet for presence of debris or ear wax.
The cost of hearing aid depends on its technology and features. For more information visit our products section.
Hearing loss can occur in the outer ear, middle ear, inner ear or brain. This can be determined by various hearing tests.
